Getting started
Prop your phone against a wall, step back until your whole body is in frame, and do a push-up. That's the tutorial.
The five tabs
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Home | Today: your daily goals, streak, the Daily Bounty, gathering, and your equipment at a glance. |
| Train | Earning. Fight monsters (the default) or train exercises freely. Every rep counts either way. |
| Shop | Spending. Trade gp for unlocked screen time on the apps you've chosen to lock. |
| Clan | Your people. Shared daily goals, the clan leaderboard, and Group Bossing. |
| You | Your character: stats, exercise log, inventory and crafting, settings. |
How rep counting works
GymScape watches your form through the camera using on-device pose detection: nothing is uploaded, nobody reviews footage. A rep only counts when the movement is real: full range of motion, honest posture. Half squats and nose-nowhere-near-the-floor push-ups get you nothing, which is exactly why the numbers on your character mean something.
Goals and streaks
Set daily goals for the exercises you care about. Clear all of them and your streak grows: the streak is the heartbeat of the whole game, and everything else (fights, bounties, gathering) quietly feeds those same goals while you play.
Locked apps
Choose the apps that cost you your evenings. GymScape genuinely shields them at the system level: no dismissable timers. When you want in, you pay in gp, and gp comes from reps. It is a very short loop and it works on you exactly the way it sounds like it would.
